If you wish to attend you must R.S.V.P. Snacks will be provided but it would be generous to leave a little tip to cover this expense with the homeowner.
This is a partnership with the Seattle metropolitan area screenwriters and the Northwest Screenwriter's Guild. We would like to welcome you to:
MUSTER
Meet Up Script Team Evaluation Read-through
MUSTER is an in-person script read in Seattle. Come join us as we table read a full script, critique it, and network.
Meetings are typically the third Saturday of the month starting at 11 AM, hosted at Harbor Island Studios.
This is our mailing list, similar to the WSAG's. Feel free to use it to RSVP, arrange rideshares, etc. You can also use our channel on the Northwest Screenwriter's Discord:
https://discord.gg/aDve9w72
E-mail washlaws@gmail.com to submit a script, to have someone join the group, or for any questions.
If you want to submit a script:
We are currently accepting scripts that have gone through at least ONE REVISION, a complete first draft that has been proofread and edited, for our main table read. Scripts are selected by lottery from our accepted pool.
We are accepting FEATURES and PILOTS for our main table reads. We are also open to shorts and other formats, but they will be read after our main discussion as time allows.
You are also welcome to bring your unfinished scripts to talk with your fellow writers about and get breakdown assistance and advice on after the main table read.
MUSTER is an event independent of the Northwest Screenwriter's Guild (NWSG). We would like to thank NWSG's membership for helping us put it together, as well as Wally Lane, Mark Sawyer, the late Kirk Reddie, and Lynelle Souleiel for naming our event.
Script Selection:
Scripts are selected in a weighted lottery one week before the event. The longer a script has been waiting in the script pool, the more "tickets" it has in each drawing. If you withdraw your script from the pool because you have to miss a month, it will retain its "tickets" for the next time you put it in.
Joining the team:
If you want to help out, e-mail me. I could use help with vetting scripts and providing hard copies.
Feel free to ask me for clarifications
A lot of community building is going on around us in local film, and I hope for this to be a regular fixture of that community. We will be continuing to evolve over this new year, and I look forward to growing as a group and as a supporter of our other local film and screenwriting orgs.
