As part of our Discover Washington State Parks series, I've chosen a little known gem: Nolte State Park in the little area of "Cumberland" in Enumclaw. I remember Cumberland as "don't blink or you'll miss it" kind of place with one general store.

November is the rainiest month for western Washington, but don't let that stop you from walking this wonderful, beginner friendly forest walk. I recently walked this in the pouring rain and it was beautiful and with an umbrella or rain jacket and rain hat, you'll say, "what rain"?
