This class will be a basic introduction to the centuries old art of decorative paste paper. We'll create fancy paper to use in collages or book covers or whatever pleases you. It's artwork like the children's author, Eric Carle, created for The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We'll experiment with layering colors, mark making or even fingerpainting. You’ll find, the finished papers have amazing depth.

Wear old clothes or bring an apron--this is a messy project!

Supplies:
-paper (copy paper, sketch paper or even construction paper is fine), -acrylic paints,
-a couple of cheap 2" brushes, a -wider brush or sponge just for wetting the paper,
-sponges, -
-4-5 small containers with lids (like yogurt containers),

• a water container for rinsing brushes, etc.
  -mark making tools such as: combs, plastic gift card, simple rubber stamps, stencils, bubble wrap, texture rollers.

Fees: $5 for TACG members/$10 for non-members

Come make a bracelet and drop earrings with semi-precious stones and assorted gemstones. Please be sure you are aware of our cancellation and payment policies posted at the bottom of this listing.

In this workshop, students will make a bracelet working with elastictic beading thread. Students will also be lead through the process of beading with wire and are welcome to make a pair of earrings.

All materials are provided, but if you have tools please bring them. If you would like to work with supplies from your own collection, please feel free to bring them also.

This workshop is appropriate for begining and experienced students.

A TACG Event for Annual Dues Paying Members: Join us for lunch and a visit to the FOSS Waterway Seaport Museum.

We will meet at the museum at 10 am and start the tour once we’ve all gathered. Around 11:30, we’ll head over to Rock the Dock Pub and Grill, which is across the parking lot. TACG will contribute up to $20 per member that attends the lunch portion of this event.

Registrationn for this event closes August 10th. If you plan to attend only one part of the day, please say so in the comments.

JOIN US at 1 p.m. in the large meeting room at the University Place Pierce County Library. We met here for craft camp pre-Covid and enjoyed the light, bright space. Note that Needling Together and Craft Camp are now happily joined in one event.
When you enter the library's main door, look to the right for the big meeting room. We will start setting up at 1 p.m. and will have the room until 4:30.
Parking: There is free parking outside in front of the library and also covered parking below the library. To access covered parking, drive around to the lower street, and look for the sign that says "Free Public Parking.
This is a free event for dues-paying members.
This free event is a good one to attend if you're interested in membership. Bring something to work on; if you don't have anything, we will share our materials.
