Scrap Magic & Recycled Mischief: A Creative Frolic
Details
If you're new, read this first: This meeting is open to both members and non-members. Please see the Tacoma Arts and Crafts Group's "About" section for details about membership.
If your craft space is overflowing with “precious bits” you absolutely cannot throw away—painty gelli prints, yarn snips, fabric trimmings, orphan beads, ribbon ends, stamped experiments, block‑printed tests, cereal boxes, tin cans, jars you swear will become something someday—this is your moment.
After our monthly show‑and‑tell (at this meeting), we’ll gather for a playful time of turning all those saved scraps into tiny wonders. Bring:
- A few creations you’ve already made from scraps or recycled treasures.
- A quick story of how you made them (we love crafty secrets).
- A handful of your own “waiting for inspiration” bits—paper, fabric, yarn, fibers, stamps, prints, anything you’ve rescued for future magic.
- Your preferred tools: scissors, glue, paint, needle and thread, markers, adhesives, or whatever you like to work with.
We’ll swap ideas, share materials, and cue up inspiring YouTube videos on the big screen. Make embellishments, stitch a mini banner, bead a tiny pouch, stamp or block‑print over old papers, collage a monster board, decorate jars or cans—anything goes in this joyful scrap‑alchemy session.
Come play, create, and discover what your forgotten bits have been waiting to become.
