Staycation 2026: The Great Crafting Camp-In!

NOTE: This Event is ONLY for TACG Members - who have paid their 2026 Dues.

A Weekend of Hats, Dragonflies & Creative Fun

Pack your imagination (and your favorite tools) and join us for our annual Staycation—two glorious days of crafting, laughing, sharing, and settling into that fabulous feeling of being “away” without ever leaving town.

Saturday: Hats, Hotdogs & Happy Makers - 8:30 AM - 5;30 PM

We’ll start bright and cozy with breakfast provided by Rivi, then dive into a full day of crafting together. Expect great conversation, shared inspiration, and the joyful chaos of everyone working on their own projects side by side.

Midday, Tammy and Melinda will fire up the grill for a hotdog‑and‑hamburger lunch with tasty sides (vegetarian options included).
Then comes the highlight: our Fun Hat Show, followed by a lively demo on how to make your own whimsical paper sun hat.
To decorate your hat, feel free to bring feathers, flowers, ribbon, leaves, fabric scraps, yarn bits, or any other delightful embellishments you love. And don’t forget your favorite tools—glue or a glue gun, scissors, pens, markers, or paint—plus any materials you want to craft with during your free‑time sessions.

Sunday: Dragonflies & Dessert - 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

We’ll gather for another relaxed afternoon of crafting. Bonnie L. is treating us to dessert, and Nancy will lead a charming demo on how to make a dragonfly—a sweet little project to add to your collection.

The rest of the day is all about what we love most: sharing supplies, swapping ideas, and enjoying the simple pleasure of creating side by side.

Come for the crafts, stay for the company, and enjoy a weekend devoted to making things together.
