TACG Fall Recharge Weekend Retreat

We’re excited to announce a brand‑new fall event — a local, inspiring, low‑stress weekend full of crafting, connection, and creativity. Instead of traveling out of town this year, we’ll be gathering right here in Tacoma for three days of art, community, and optional adventures.

Your $80 weekend pass includes all meals, all crafting time, the optional party bus Studio Tour adventure, and the Sunday workshop with former TACG member Michelle Osborne. Read on for details!

FRIDAY, OCT 16 — Setup + Soup Night (4:00–10:00 PM)
Bring whatever you plan to work on for the weekend and set up your crafting station. We’ll provide soup, salad, and bread for a cozy start to the weekend. You can leave your supplies overnight, so you don’t have to pack up between days.

SATURDAY, OCT 17 — Crafting + Optional Party Bus (9:00 AM–10:00 PM)
The Senior Center opens at 9:00 AM.

• Lunch will be easy grab‑and‑go snacks and food items
• Spaghetti dinner at 5:00 PM
• Water and coffee available all day
• Craft, socialize, and relax until 10:00 PM

⭐ Optional Party Bus Adventure (around noon, 3–4 hours)
Hop aboard our festive “party bus” to visit studios on the Tacoma Studio Tour — including three TACG members: Randi Voss, Hadiya Finley, and Teresa Owens.
We’ll also stop at a small, curated list of nearby studios along the route. The official Studio Tour map hasn’t been released yet, so the exact route will be finalized closer to the event — but expect a fun loop through North Tacoma, Downtown, and South Tacoma.

Party Bus Seating (Important)
The party bus can accommodate 14 riders. If you’d like a seat, please indicate that when you RSVP for the weekend package. Seats will be filled in the order RSVPs are received. If the bus fills, you’re still welcome to join the caravan option — same route, same studios, same fun.

Your driver will be Tom, an experienced Uber driver who enjoys making rides fun. We’ll have party lights, maps, snacks, water, and a few little take‑home treasures. Tips for Tom are welcome if you feel inclined.

(Note: The party bus is included in the weekend package. If someone wants to attend the bus only, we may be able to accommodate that for $25 if seats remain, but priority goes to weekend participants.)

SUNDAY, OCT 18 — Intentional Painting Workshop + Crafting (1:30–5:00 PM)
Doors open at 1:30 PM.

Round and round it goes — where it stops, no one knows!

Have you been yearning to reignite your creative spark? Ready to explore the wild side of your creativity?
Bring your sense of adventure to this playful, interactive painting ride. Certified Intentional Creativity Coach & Artist Michelle Osborne will guide you through rich layers using mystery prompts. Just don’t get too attached to your canvas — because at unexpected moments, the Collaboration SWITCH will trigger, and everyone will rotate canvases!

This unique mixed‑media workshop is full of laughter, surprises, and creative joy. Each participant will leave with a group‑created artwork to commemorate the ride.

Appropriate supplies to bring of your own:
Acrylic paints, brushes, mixed‑media ephemera, scrapbook paper, decorative napkins, inks, stamps, stencils, markers, paint pens, colored pencils, pastels, crayons, glue gun, glue sticks — anything that inspires you. We also have a stash of supplies in the cupboard and members willing to share. Canvases will be provided.

We’ll wrap up with crafting time and cleanup, ending around 5:00 PM.
