Hike with Waterfalls, Lake Views and Vegan Lunch
Details
Join Tahoe Herbivores for a beautiful hike through South Lake Tahoe's Van Sickle State Park, featuring two waterfalls and stunning views of Lake Tahoe, followed by lunch from the excellent vegan menu at Maria's Mexican Restaurant.
The hike is 4-5 miles long with less than 500 feet of climbing and is suitable for anyone in reasonably good physical condition.
Our route features ample free parking at the trailhead, making it a much easier way into Van Sickle than the main parking lot. We'll meet at the trailhead at 10:30 am, hike for a couple of hours, and should be at the restaurant by 1 or 1:15.
Parking and the trailhead are at the corner of Saddle Road and Adams Way in South Lake Tahoe. Meet just inside this chain gate hanging between two yellow posts.
Hope to see you there!
