The continuous journey of learning

Abstract

This talk introduces the activities of Python community in Taiwan, Asia Pacific region, and the globe, and how hackers, practitioners, and learners have fun with the community. Python is a versatile scripting language broadly applied in web, cloud, data analytics, sysadmin, research, education, and technical computing. It has a negligible entry barrier, and become the most popular language for teaching programming.

Python is open-source. The applications, development, and training of Python aren’t separated from its community, and involving the community is the best way to access the technology.

Introduction to the Speaker

Yung-Yu Chen is an HPC software developer and interested in using Python to develop solvers of conservation laws by using the space-time CESE method. He founded PyHUG and the first PyCon Taiwan, and is still coordinating the former.
