About us
Taiji is practiced here not as a martial art but as a path of inner development, where body, mind and energy are trained together. Through slow and precise movements, partner exercises and meditation, we develop relaxation, stability and elastic strength.
The training follows the teachings of Patrick Kelly and a typical session includes:
- Loosening exercises to calm the mind and to improve relaxation and alignment of the body
- Taiji form practice with precise movements to develop internal force
- Partner exercises / Pushing Hands / Tuishou
- Meditation
Meditation is an an integral part of training at our school. A meditative state of mind permeates every aspect of the practice – not only meditation in the narrower sense, but also movement.
The training atmosphere is calm, focused and supportive. Beginners are welcome, and no previous experience is required.
If you feel ready to engage in a serious, long-term practice, you are very welcome.

Taiji and Meditation in Zurich – Open Introduction Evenings (Deutsch & English)
Schulhaus Kern, Kernstrasse 45, Zürich, CHTaiji is a precise and refined practice. Through consistent training over time, it develops inner clarity, elastic strength, and a deeper level of the Mind.
I am opening my regular Taiji group in Zurich for several introduction evenings in March and April. These evenings are an opportunity to experience the practice and get to know my way of teaching. There is no expectation of immediate commitment — the intention is simply to explore whether this path feels right for you.
The teaching is bilingual (German & English) and adapts naturally to the group.
During the introduction evenings, we will explore:- Loosening exercises from the tradition of Master Huang Xingxian
- The beginning of the Taiji short form
- First partner exercises (Tuishou)
- Meditation
No previous experience is necessary.
The invitation is intended for people who are genuinely interested in exploring a longer-term path of development.
Participation in this introduction evening is free of charge.
Afterwards, those who wish to continue may join the ongoing group.
Further details about the training can be found on the website.
