Three Levels of Understanding
This workshop, suitable for beginners or experienced players, focuses on understanding how parts fit together, and playing as a group - fundamental taiko skills. Participants take away a practical process which they can apply to improve any taiko piece.
Shoji Kameda is a Grammy-nominated musician and one of the taiko world’s most performed composers. He plays with OnEnsemble, a contemporary taiko quartet, and the jazz fusion group Hiroshima. Together with highly-respected taiko artists Kenny Endo and Kaoru Watanabe, Shoji develops and delivers high-quality online instructional courses for taiko and fue.
