Walk-a-thon supporting surrendered or abandoned dogs

Details

Join the Tails on Trails Neighborhood Walking Pawtners group for a leisurely Sunday morning stroll to support the dog rescue organization, Speaking of Dogs, that my mom and I have been volunteering with as fosters for the past few years. The organization hosts an annual fundraiser, Step up for the Pups hosted on the Canada Helps Org platform to raise awareness and funds for animals that have been surrendered or abandoned. These animals need medical care in hopes of finding a loving forever home where they can live out their lives.

Our team is participating in honour of all animals in need, however this year we are walking more specifically in celebration of Gucci, our last foster dog that unfortunately is no longer with us. Although, Gucci is not with us anymore, he and other furry friends in Speaking of Dogs care need our advocacy, our help and support.

Our team’s walking route: Etobicoke Trail Brampton North
The specific starting and ending point will be planned in the coming days. We will focus on the trail path found here. Depending on the rsvps and those interested we can coordinate it in a mutually convenient or central location.

Who is this event for?
This event is perfect for all dog lovers who enjoy the company of furry friends while getting some exercise outdoors and supporting a cause that resonates with you. Whether you have a small pup, big dog, multiple dogs, and even no dog everyone is welcome to come together and explore the neighborhood with their four-legged companions and the team. It's a great opportunity to socialize, make new friends, and bond with your pets as you stroll through nature's wonders. Don't miss out on this tail-wagging experience.
