SATURDAY Dog Hike at LAUMEIER SCULPTURE PARK
Details
GOOD FOR BEGINNERS. Easy little 2.5-3 miles. First part is level and paved, then we head down onto the dirt trails around the creek. Fun stuff everywhere on this. Cool sculptures along paved trail, and all kinds of fun things in the woods, including the fabulous remains of the old pool complex.
First part is paved trail in full sun with lot of sculptures and interesting stuff. After about 3/4 mile, we'll head down the gravel trail that follows the creek and goes by more cool stuff. Might be a few puddles down here in rainy weather, but it's well drained. Creek down there to water dogs, but bring water for them to drink anyway.
We hit the trail promptly at 10:00, with or without you. Arrive a little before that and be ready to go. Please wait in the grassy area, do not stand in the middle of the parking lot.
Probably no bathrooms open.
On leash at all times.
No retractables, short leash only (under 6')
Close in location with good roads. Hwy 270/44 area.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Use mapping to get to the park on Rott Road. After you enter the park, come to the lower parking lot to the LEFT OF THE BIG HOUSE.
