MASTODON DOG HIKE on Limestone Trail
Details
Not the easiest trail in town, but very pretty and just a fun little hike. One BIG hill up, lots of level ground and then back down. Plenty of boulders and tree roots to climb over. Total 2 miles.
We'll throw in the Wildflower Trail too maybe, another 1/2 mile that's fairly easy and goes by the site where they found the Mastodon bones. Then back to parking lot. After that we can also do the Spring Branch Trail, an easy .8 miles of level gravel path that goes to the creek. All together 3-3.5 miles, but you can skip the Spring Branch for 2.5 miles total.
HIKING BOOTS REQUIRED FOR SAFETY
BRING POLES IF YOU USE THEM
Bring water for yourself and your dog, maybe a snack also.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Hwy 55 to Imperial Exit. Turn right at stoplight, then immediately right again on Outer Road. Go to first stopsign (not light) and turn left onto Seckman Road. Parking lot is up about a mile on the left.
