Some of us are camping at Robertsville State Park, and we will be kayaking on Saturday. You non-campers are more than welcome to join us. It's only about 27 miles from 141/Valley Park, an easy drive down Hwy 44.

It's a 6 mile run and a very pleasant part of the river. Nothing too scary, some good current and decent scenery. Lots of gravel bars to stop and play. July should be hot, so we will stop a lot, or as needed.

DOGS AND PEOPLE MUST WEAR PFD AT ALL TIMES. NO EXCEPTIONS.

B.Y.O.BOAT, no rentals.
No Intex or folding kayaks. You need an upgraded inflatable or a hardshell. Hardshells must be 10' minimum.

BE SURE TO COMMENT BELOW WHAT KIND OF KAYAK (AND DOG) YOU HAVE, SO WE CAN PLAN OUR SHUTTLE!

If you want to come along, be at the campground by 9:30 at the latest. I'm at site #19. There is extra parking by bathroom. Bring your own coffee and donuts. We might be hanging out at one of the other campsites. We don't have to leave at an exact time, so be flexible. But we'll shoot for 10:00 to 10:30 to leave the campground.

LOCATION SHOWN IS CAMPGROUND.

We will drive down the park road to boat ramp. Leave some cars and shuttle to the put in. It's about a 25 minute drive. We'll need shuttle drivers after the float to run people back to their cars at the put in.

I will have my camper, so won't have my cargo rack to shuttle. We'll need helpers for this. If you have a cargo rack or a big truck, you can help out please.

Hopefully, we'll hit the water around 11:00. Floating time about 3 hours if we play a lot. We usually end up at about 2 mph average, with play time.

Please comment below if you have hard shell or inflatable, and if you have a dog. Inflatables are much easier to shuttle, so if you have a choice bring your blow up boats.
