[台北] 英語口說練習聚會
1. 自介:We are a small English-speaking practice group composed of both students and working professionals.
2. 對象:Anyone who wants to maintain and improve their spoken English skills or make friends and broaden social circle.
3. 目標:None of our members are native speakers, so we may not be able to offer precise corrections on pronunciation or phrasing. However, by meeting regularly, we aim to maintain a steady level of output so that members don’t lose their fluency. We are also experimenting with other online activities to provide additional opportunities to improve English outside of our meetups—without adding too much pressure.
4. 原因:English education in Taiwan tends to neglect speaking and expressive skills. Practicing alone can often feel awkward or hard to sustain. We hope this small group can serve as a mutual support system to help maintain everyone’s sense of language and fluency.
5. 地點:公園路麥當勞(台北市中正區公園路30-1號) https://share.google/vb2vokU994YQhcWPm
6. 時間:Every Tuesday, 7:30–9:30 PM
7. 方式:Casual English conversation + topic-based discussion.
8. 範圍:Open
9. 人數限制:4–5 people. If more join, we’ll split into two groups.
10. 運作規則:
(1) Mutual respect.
(2) Members take turns preparing and leading the weekly topics.
(3) We hope everyone can maintain a certain level of attendance—ideally at least once a month. However, if you’re going through a particularly busy period, you're welcome to take a break. If someone hasn't shown up for a while, the organizer will check in with them. If there's no attendance and no response over time, the group may decide collectively to remove them from the group.

Questions:
1. Have you recently read or watched any isekai (alternate world) or rebirth fiction or dramas? If yes, please share which titles and briefly describe your impressions and feelings about them.
2. In popular rebirth-themed adaptations and novels, protagonists often get second chances to navigate complex social and economic situations. Given our generation's experience with economic uncertainty, career pivots, and rapid technological change, what makes the fantasy of “perfect foresight” particularly compelling? Have you ever wished you could return to a specific moment with your current knowledge?
3. Time travel fiction has a long tradition, but how does it differ from isekai and rebirth genres? Do the protagonists’ goals in these narratives reflect the anxieties of their respective generations or societies?
4. With the massive popularity of this genre and its adaptations, what might be the broader social implications? Could these narratives potentially influence how people approach real-life decisions, regrets, and social mobility? Can escapism through isekai empower readers toward self‑change, or is it primarily a temporary emotional refuge?

The Relationship between AI Progress and Creative Rights behind the "Silent Album” Event
The UK’s new Data Bill passed on June 19, 2025, making AI model training on UK creative works legal without permission or disclosure. Critics argue that AI-generated music dilutes royalties, undercuts emerging artists, and drains the cultural economy. As artists call for solidarity and transparency, the new bill highlights the question of balancing innovation and performance with ethics, transparency, and societal impact. Let’s delve into these questions and explore the multifaceted interplay between AI’s advancement and its broader cultural and intellectual influence.
