Let's Watch Mickey 17 on Saturday, March 15

Hello film lovers!

I've just re-scheduled the screening of this film for next Saturday on March 15!
Let’s meet at Huashan Spot movie house box-office ticket-selling counter at 15:40 to purchase the tickets together! The exact screening time will be 16:20 that day. The movie runs for 137 minutes. Hopefully, after the screening, we get to have a meal/drink around the venue area and discuss this sci-fi film, which deals with humankind’s existential issue.

Information on Mickey 17:
From the Academy Award-winning writer/director of “Parasite,” Bong Joon Ho, comes his next groundbreaking cinematic experience, “Mickey 17.” The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.

Adapted from the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton, this stars Robert Pattinson as an "expendable" - a disposable crew member on a space mission, selected for dangerous tasks because he can be renewed if his body dies, with his memories largely intact. With one regeneration, though, things go very wrong.

Trivia:
While it's well known that Pattinson plays multiple versions of Mickey due to the cloning process, what many don't realise is that director Bong Joon-ho insisted on filming certain key scenes without Pattinson knowing which version of Mickey he was playing until just before shooting. This method was meant to capture the confusion and existential dread of a clone struggling with his own identity, leading to some of the film's most unsettling and raw performances.
