Taipei Weekend Social brings together solo travelers, expats, newcomers, international students and friendly locals for an easy, relaxed Saturday night.
👋 Coming alone is completely normal.
Our hosts welcome new guests, make introductions and help you join your first conversation.

Grab your included drink, meet people, chat or play darts.
Our hosts help new guests connect naturally.
### 2F｜Karaoke + Sofas 🎤🛋️
Head upstairs anytime for karaoke, music or a more relaxed conversation.
You don’t have to sing.
Move freely between both floors and enjoy the night at your own pace.

## 👥 Who Usually Joins?
You’ll usually meet:

English and Mandarin are both commonly used.
🌍 This is an international social night, not a language class.
The goal is simple:

## ❤️ What Makes Us Different?
At many meetups, you arrive and have to figure everything out yourself.
Here, our hosts actually host.
They welcome new guests, introduce people and help solo arrivals join conversations.
Some of our hosts first joined Taipei Weekend Social as guests themselves, so they know what it feels like to walk in without knowing anyone.
Sometimes one simple introduction is all you need:

Still want to keep going?
Guests often form a group and continue the night together.
Depending on the night, people may head to Maji Square or Xinyi District, two of Taipei’s liveliest nightlife areas. 🎶🍻
Join for another drink, dancing, late-night food or simply more time with the people you just met.
This part is optional.
Transportation, extra drinks and venue entrance fees are not included.

### Can I come alone?
Yes. 😊
Many guests do.
Our hosts will welcome you and help with the first introduction.
### I live in Taipei. Can I join?
Of course.
You don’t need to be a traveler.
Expats, locals, international students and newcomers are all welcome.
### Is this a language exchange?
No.
English and Mandarin are naturally used, but the focus is meeting people and enjoying Saturday night together.
### Do I have to sing karaoke?
No.
You can sing, play darts or spend the whole night talking.
### What if I’m shy?
That’s fine.
You don’t need to be outgoing or good at networking.
Say hi to one of our hosts and we’ll help you get started.
### Do I need to drink alcohol?
No.
Non-alcoholic drinks are available and can be used as your included drink.
### How much is the event?
The regular ticket is NT$400 including one drink.
If you come with a friend, it’s NT$350 per person.

想熱鬧一點就一起唱歌。
想慢慢聊，也可以坐在沙發區。
完全不用一定唱歌。
整晚都可以自由在一、二樓移動。

## 🌏 國際社交，不是語言交換
現場通常會有台灣人、旅客、expats 和國際學生。
中文、英文都很常聽到。
重點不是練語言，而是認識平常生活圈裡不會遇到的人。

## 🌃 10 點後還想繼續？
活動結束後，如果大家還不想回家，通常會有人自由組隊一起出去。
依照當晚狀況，可能前往 Maji Square 或信義區。🎶🍻
可以喝一杯、跳舞、吃宵夜，或繼續和剛認識的人聊天。

現場自然會使用中文、英文和其他語言，但沒有語言課程或固定交換流程。
### 一定要唱 Karaoke 嗎？
不用。🙂
可以唱歌、玩飛鏢，也可以整晚只聊天。
