Yushan (Jade Mtn) Special "Open Private" Trip

Taiwan Adventures is running a special weekday event to Yushan (Jade Mountain) on December 22-24, 2019. The sign up deadline has passed, but if you're interested, please contact us.

This will be an “Open Private” trip which means it will have all the benefits of a private trip, but there will be others in the group you may not know. The group size is limited to 7 people per guide and includes pickup from your hotel, a private room* on the first night, a native English speaking guide, all the meals, private transportation, insurance, permits and entry fees… Basically everything you need.

This hike takes place at the beginning of snow season, so there's the possibility of some snow. Yushan is undoubtedly at its most beautiful in the snow, however it does make the hike much more difficult. Please consider your fitness before deciding to join.

Yushan is Taiwan's highest mountain and one of the most beautiful. It is also the most famous, and therefore most popular hike in Taiwan. Everyone with an interest in adventure, hiking, and the outdoors wants to be able to say that they’ve climbed it once. It’s definitely an unforgettable experience climbing the highest peak in eastern Asia!

PRICE
This special hike is priced at $15,800TWD per person, *based on at least double occupancy. We need a minimum of 4 people to start the hike.

ITINERARY
Dec 22:
Meet in Taipei in the afternoon and drive to a basic hotel near the trailhead for the night.
Meals included: Dinner

Dec 23:
Hike for about 5 hours to the Paiyun Cabin.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Dec 24:
Wake before dawn to reach the peak for sunrise, then hike all the way down and drive back to Taipei
Meals: Breakfast, lunch

****** IMPORTANT! *******
This hike will be very cold. We expect nighttime temperatures to go below zero, and remain below zero as we make our summit on the Sunday. You will need cold weather clothes, and a good down feather sleeping bag (we have some available to rent, let us know if you need one).
