Talk: Scaling Bitcoin With Utreexo - Calvin Kim

The Speaker

Calvin Kim is an open source developer that's working on scaling Bitcoin at the base layer. He is currently funded by the Human Rights Foundation and his main contributions are with the Utreexo project, which aims to help with the usability of Bitcoin nodes by making them easier and faster to run. With Utreexo, a Bitcoin node can be less than a kilobyte in size while a traditional Bitcoin node takes up 6GB.

We are lucky to have Calvin give this talk in person!

The Event

Although Utreexo is a technical topic, Calvin will explain everything from the ground up, from the very basics of Bitcoin. We also hope to make this an interactive event, questions are welcome!

There will be time to socialize after the talk. Drinks and light snacks will be for sale.
