What we’re about
In our fast-paced world we often forget to TAKE A BEAT to sit quietly or draw or dance with wild abandon or chat about life or write a poem or put our hands in dirt. We're coming together with our neighbors to do all of this and more!
Some gatherings will be geared toward stillness (sound bath, meditation). Some will swing more toward playfulness (dance parties, game nights). And other gatherings will be discussions around topical subjects or volunteering or celebrating some random thing because it's too easy to forget we should be celebrating life! Or it might just be a bit of all of those things.
We are an inclusive, non-judgmental, curious lot who care about our neighbors and the planet and living our one life to the fullest.
No membership fees. If there is a cost associated with a gathering we'll charge for the specific activity.
Always open to suggested activities from the collective.

Take a Beat...at the end of this wild year
415 Westlake Ave N, 415 Westlake Avenue North, Seattle, WA, USThis unique new event is an opportunity to be present with each other and ourselves at the end of a wild year. A place to Take a Beat for stillness and music and joy and creativity and community.
We’ll start with some tranquil beats in the form of a sound bath and intention setting, move into some lush beats with a performance by the incomparable Tomo Nakayama, and round it out by dropping some groovy beats with dance party legend DJ Michele Myers and a variety of creative activities - build a terrarium, write a haiku, paint a rock, and lots more.
Take a Beat is a series of experiences from stillness to exuberance. It's a vibe!
