Mount Umunhum - 7.7 mile hike

Mt Umunhum is the fourth largest peak in the Bay Area. This peak was long off limits, but after a major cleanup operation removed almost all of an abandoned air force station, it was opened to the public in 2017. The hike uses a purpose-built singletrack trail that switchbacks up to the summit. I understand they recently finished the renovations on the cube so it's time to visit the structure.

Arrive early for parking. The hike will start at 8:30am. Early start as parking is limited. There are restrooms at the start and the top. Water is available at the peak.

Rules:

• The hike will start five minutes after the meet time.
• Please stop at all trail junctions. I have not lost anyone yet and I want to keep it that way.
• Do not leave the hike without advising the leader/leaders first.
• Do not hike without water
• Stay at home if you are sick
