Sunset Trl to Elden and return via Little Bear Trl, Fagstaff

Hi everyone. I'm going to tackle the Sunset Trail to Elden and the return via the Little Bear Trail. The links to the trail are listed below:

The hike is 8-10 miles and about 2500 feet total elevation. The hike will start at around 9 am at Schultz Pass and since its a 'short' hike I'm estimating about a 4-4.5 hour completion time (including break time) so the pace will be steady depending on weather.

Hikers should know their trails and junctions and be prepared and knowledgeable about monsoon weather conditions. Little Bear is named appropriately so knowledge of how to respond to a bear would be wise to know, and the trail has been reopened less than a year due to extensive fire damage so good route finding skills will come in a handy.

Since it is a relatively early trailhead start and travel is required the carpool time is early at 6 am. See you in Flag.
