Overnight Susquehanna Adventure

Details
## Susquehanna Three Day Middle Section
Join us for an overnighter on the Middle Susquehanna! We will be paddling around 20 miles over both days while exploring all the “mile wide river” has to offer on this section. From “half falls” to countless islands we will weave our way through this beautiful piece of central Pennsylvania on one of the oldest rivers in the world.
This is a “self-supported” style trip, meaning we will pack everything we need to take with us in our kayaks for the trip and set up camp on an island for the night. This is a beginner friendly trip, but some kayaking and camping experience is required.
#### DATES & TIMES
September 11th 7:30 am- September 13th by 6:00 pm
#### ABILITY
We aim to cover about 40 miles over the course of the three days. We take breaks, stop at points of interest, and socialize along the way. The ability to paddle 12-15 miles a day is required.
#### CAN I PADDLE MY OWN BOAT?
We prefer that you use our boats as we design the gear we use and packing around our boats. If you have a boat that you think would work well and you prefer it, please reach out and ask us. Generally speaking it must be at least 12.5 feet long and have two bulk heads for storage.
#### 3 DAYS
Participants will be on the river for three days of paddling and two evenings of camping.
#### CAMPING
We will be staying on a remote island on the Susquehanna with no facilities except a primitive campsite.
#### EQUIPMENT
Participants are welcome to bring their own tent, and sleeping pad or we have loaner ones available. TIO provides all other necessary camping gear and dry bags for packing. However, TIO does not provide sleeping bags.
#### MEETING LOCATION
Participants will meet and return to Take it Outdoors and Pottstown.
