Fall Foliage Bicycle Jim Thorpe

This is a social ride. Meet at the train station in the square at the front door of the station. Look for the big lump of coal. Day parking available for a fee. May want to arrive early to assure parking spot. Alternate parking available at Glen Oko about 3 miles up the trail. Grab some lunch at one of the many establishments in town before the ride. Ride leaves the station at 12:30. Going north on the Gorge Trail to Rockport and back. About 34 miles of well groomed rail trail with a really gradual upgrade to Rockport. Will decide on refreshment meeting after the ride depending on conditions and size of group. Bring money to enjoy what the town has to offer. The fall colors may be limited due to dry conditions, but weather is usually good this time of year for ride on this trail. Bring your own bike or rent from local outfitter. Hybrid type is best
