4th of July Campout!

OK, this is more than just a hike for you and your kids.

Have you been thinking of taking your kids on their first backpacking adventure? This is the perfect way to get started!

There's a beautiful beach on the Pacific at Point Reyes National Seashore.
A short walk up from the beach is the lovely Coast Backpackers Camp. We can walk there on a quite level gravel road in under 3 miles. That means there are no hills to climb! This easy-walking trail is even "wagon friendly", and many families pull their camping gear all the way to their site.

I have a campsite for the nights of July 3rd and 4th. My 6 year old grandson will accompany me, and the site can accommodate a total of 6 campers, so I have room for 4 more people.

If you've never done anything like this but are curious - step outside your comfort zone! Kids are naturals in the outdoors and it's soooo healthy to get them into Nature and away from all of our modern technology.
