This 3 to 4 mile out-and-back trek along the Appalachian Trail features a steady climb at the start of the hike and a total 285-foot elevation gain. Whether you're here for the scenery, the exercise, or the camaraderie, this hike is a perfect way to enjoy the outdoors with great company.
After enjoying the scenic overlook, keep the adventure going with an optional visit to Bear Chase Brewing Company. Sit back with a refreshing drink, savor a delicious meal, and enjoy great conversation with fellow hikers in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

9:30 AM at the Harry Byrd Hwy Parking, located at the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Blue Ridge Mountain Road in Bluemont, VA 20135.

This 3 to 4 mile trail offers a 285-foot elevation change and provides a mix of easy trails with some moderate elevation gains (there is a steady climb up at the start of the hike). Suitable for most fitness levels. Terrain is rocky so supportive footwear is suggested. Ideal for those looking for a scenic hike with some elevation gain.
