Get ready for a day of breathtaking views, woodland trails, and lively conversation as we hike to Annapolis Rock along the Appalachian Trail! This 5-mile, 3-hour out-and-back hike is perfect for those looking to enjoy nature, challenge themselves, and connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

We’ll start at the parking area off U.S. Route 40 and head up the Appalachian Trail through a wooded path with a steady climb. There’s about 797 feet of elevation gain, so this one’s for folks with an intermediate level of fitness who don’t mind a little uphill effort. After about 2 miles, we’ll take a spur trail leading to Annapolis Rock, where the payoff is a killer view of the Cumberland Valley and Greenbrier Lake. It’s a great spot to catch your breath, snap some photos, and take it all in.

Plan on spending around 3 hours on the trail. The hike is all about pacing yourself, enjoying the journey, and connecting with the group. The trail offers plenty of chances to chat, take in the surroundings, and make the most of the experience.

After the hike, join us at the Orchid Cellar - a local Meadery and Winery. It’s a laid-back way to relax and spend time with like-minded people. They don't have food service, so you're welcome to bring your own food.

If you're looking to get some exercise and meet amazing people, this hike is perfect for you!
