Take a Hike! @ Bull Run

Join us for a scenic and social hike at Bull Run! This hike is as much about meeting new people and enjoying good conversation as it is about getting outside. We’ll keep a comfortable pace, take time to chat along the way, and enjoy the scenery together. Whether you come with friends or on your own, it’s a great opportunity to connect with others, get some fresh air, and spend a few hours outdoors with a friendly group.

We’ll meet Sunday at 9:30 am for a scenic 5.13-mile hike along Bull Run. The hike should take about 3 hours and includes approximately 440 feet of elevation gain. Our route winds through wooded trails with rolling terrain, stream crossings, and scenic stretches. Expect a few hills and uneven sections that add some variety without making the hike overly strenuous.

We’ll take breaks as needed and keep the group together, so there will be plenty of opportunities to walk with different people and socialize along the way. Come ready for a good hike, some beautiful scenery, and an enjoyable day with the group.

This hike is accessible for all skill levels, taking place on the towpath and Berma road, which both feature mostly flat ground and wide paths.

We’ll maintain a steady, comfortable pace with regular but brief breaks for a balanced mix of exercise and enjoyment.

Free parking is available at the Fountainhead Regional Park Parking Lot, which is also our meeting point.
