Photo Workshop Big Shots: City Scapes Industrial Side of Seaport District

Details
Greetings Photographers!
This week we will explore an entirely different section of Seaport. Not the fancy, glass and glitz side, rather the industrial edge. Loading docks, power plants, and service roads. Big buildings and big views. See samples in the album for this workshop. There are several new buildings in this area since the last time we did this shoot in 2024.
There will be two different creative assignments. One will focus on a minimalist style, seeing the essence and using strong composition to select the elements of the scene that make it most interesting.
The second assignment will have to do with working with complexity. How to include many details and layers of visual information in a way that has structure and visual integrity rather than chaos.
There are some very interesting cityscapes from this back side of seaport.
Some topics we will cover:
- How to use your camera better
- Creating interesting compositions
- Visual weight and dynamic tension
We are going in the afternoon to take advantage nice light and clear weather.
Even if you have been to Seaport many times before, this is sure to be a new area for you to discover. I hope you can join us!
Suzanne
