Greetings Photographers,
Time to get started on our first class of the new year. If you want to learn how to use your camera, and how to see creatively, this class is for you. Weather looks great for Saturday so lets go!

Photographing the charming North End of season is so much fun. Not so crowded with tourists so you can capture many details of the neighborhood. Even if you have been here many times before, you can find new subjects to photograph. That is one of the secrets of becoming a good photographer. Challenge your own assumptions and see beyond the obvious.

For this workshop we will explore the lesser known side streets and edges of the North End. Small winding streets where North Enders live and work are not where tourist go. But they are filled with interesting architectural details and beauty. We will work with reflections and layers to build interesting images.

We will focus on creative composition and capturing stories of every day life. Afternoon should give us strong light and shadows adding more drama. You might want to work in black and white for a change.
I will prepare creative challenges to help you see with a fresh eye.

We will start out together and then you will have time on your own to explore at your own pace.

Iphones welcome. I will provide some tips for composition and exposure.
This is a good one if you want to learn how to use your camera settings so your photos are in focus and properly exposed.
I hope you can join us to kick off the new year.
There are public restrooms and parking at our starting point. Also Green line and Orange line stops.
