Zakim Bridge Abstracts Photos: Seeing City Scenes With A Fresh Eye
Details
Greetings Photographers!
I know it is short notice but I am back from PA for a few weeks and wanted to offer a class right away. This weekend we will head to the area of the Zakim Bridge and TD Garden with a focus on abstract architecture and reflections. This area will include walking through the locks, under the Zakim Bridge, along the footpath to the skate board park. It is also a great area for industrial grit. See samples in the album below from previous class in 2023.
On the way back we will walk across the new North Washington St Bridge. We will also photograph from some unique perspectives and work with reflections found in the new building now part of the West End as well as in the channel.
The workshop will focus on seeing creatively:
- Learn to challenge your assumptions about what is photo worthy.
- Work on building confidence in camera settings.
- Discover how to use geometry to balance your composition and create dynamic tension
- Use the visual elements of color, line, pattern and light to make your subjects more interesting.
- Ill provide a set of handouts with creative challenges to get you started. And provide suggestions for best camera setting.
All levels welcome. Also good for iPhone. Ill provide a separate mini lecture on how to take better pictures with your iPhone for any who are interested in that.
There are public restrooms in the Fleet Center. Closest T is North Station stop.
The weather looks great so I hope you can come out and join the fun!
See you Sunday, Suzanne
