Urban Life Harvard Square Street Photography Workshop
Details
Greetings Photographers!
I am offering an introduction to Street Photography workshop this Sunday. We will go to Harvard Square where no one cares if we take their photos. Lots of action and interesting people.
I can't believe it has been several years since we did a photo walk in Harvard Square. The students are back, so it will be a great time to go. There are many urban life subjects beyond people. So if you are not comfortable yet with photographing people don't worry, lots of other subjects like reflections in store front windows. But I will provide suggestions to start to get you comfortable photographing strangers on the street.
- In this class you will learn the best camera settings for street photography.
- We will also look at different compositions for individuals, and groups.
- Finally we will look at how to capture the emotion, mood and story of the moment using visual elements.
- We will also discuss ethical questions of photographing strangers.
Part of the class will be shooting in black and white which is really a classic style for street photography. More gritty and urban feeling.
Bring your questions and get ready to have some fun.
iPhones welcome.
Suzanne
