Tune up your instruments and find your voice in this collaborative ensemble class designed for the modern troubadour. The Folk & Americana Ensemble offers a deep dive into the "Big Tent" of American roots music, including Folk, Bluegrass, Alt-Country, and Blues.
This course is designed for students ages 16+ who want to move beyond solo practice and experience the magic of building a cohesive, rhythmic, and soulful band sound.

What You’ll Experience
In this class, we move beyond just "playing the notes." You will learn the nuances of ensemble playing that make a performance truly resonate:
Group Arranging: Learn how to take a simple lead sheet and build a full-band arrangement, deciding who takes the lead and who provides the "pocket."
Vocal Harmony: Learn to arrange and blend vocal harmonies.
Dynamic Listening: Develop the "musical ears" needed to respond to other players in real-time.
Performance Polish: Work on stage presence, song transitions, and the technical aspects of performing as a group.

Participants should have basic proficiency on their instrument.
