Join us for a relaxed summer evening at Zushi Beach — sitting by the ocean, meeting new people, playing some ridiculously simple games, chatting in English × Japanese, and watching the sunset together.
No complicated plan. No pressure. Just show up, grab a spot on the beach, meet some new people, and enjoy summer.
Coming alone? Perfect.
Most people come to social Meetups to meet someone new anyway.

## 📍 Meeting Points

We’ll head to Zushi Beach together from two locations:
🟡 Meeting Point 1: Yokohama Station
🕔 5:10 PM
🟡 Meeting Point 2: Zushi Station
🕕 6:00 PM
From Zushi Station, it’s about a 12-minute walk to the beach.
The exact meeting spot details will be shared with RSVPs.

## 🏖️ So... What Are We Actually Doing?

We’ll start by gathering everyone on the beach and doing quick introductions.
Then we’ll mix things up with:

### 🏐 Beach Games (optional)

Bring your own games or balls if you want!
Simple activities like frisbee, soft-ball games, badminton, or anything easy and fun on the sand.
You don’t need to be athletic at all.
We’re definitely not scouting for the 2032 Olympics. 😂

### 🗣️ English × Japanese Social Time

We’ll switch groups occasionally so you don’t spend the whole evening talking to the same people.
English beginner?
Japanese beginner?
No problem at all.
This isn’t a language class — just try, make mistakes, laugh, and keep talking.

# 🏆 The Sunset Games Challenge

This is where things get a little more fun.
We’ll randomly divide everyone into small teams.
Each team gets a Summer Challenge List.
For example:

• 📸 Take the most creative team photo
• ❤️ Find something heart-shaped
• 🗣️ Learn 3 surprising things about your teammates
• 🇯🇵 Teach someone one Japanese phrase
• 🇬🇧 Teach someone one English phrase
• 🌊 Take the coolest ocean photo
• 😂 Recreate a ridiculous movie-poster pose
• 🤝 Talk to someone you’ve never met before
• 🌅 Take your team’s best sunset photo

You’ll have around 30–40 minutes.
Then we come back together and share photos, stories, and questionable artistic decisions. 😂

The participation fee supports community organization and Meetup operating costs.
Food, drinks, and transportation are not included.

• Your favorite cold drink
• Water — very important in August

We’ll provide picnic mats, so you don’t need to bring one.

And enjoy a summer evening by the sea while we're at it. 😎

You don't need to know how to play volleyball.

And you definitely don't need to arrive with a team.

We'll figure that part out when everyone gets there.

This isn't a tournament and nobody's going home with an Olympic medal.

It's just volleyball, movement, laughs, beach vibes, and meeting people.

Sounds better than doom-scrolling, right?

We'll meet near the station and walk to the beach together.

The exact meeting spot will be shared with people who RSVP.

🏐 How It'll Go

Pretty simple: quick introductions, a little warm-up, make some teams, and start playing. 🏐

We'll mix the teams around depending on the group, take breaks when we need them, grab some water, chat, and jump back into the game.

Beginners are absolutely welcome. If you've played before, great. If your volleyball experience ended with PE class years ago, also great. 😂

Come alone or with friends — you don't need to bring a team.

English and Japanese will naturally happen while we're playing and hanging out, so there's no need to worry about language level either.

Just bring comfortable clothes, a small towel, sunscreen if needed, and most importantly plenty of water — it's August! 💧

🏐 The volleyball will be provided.
