Too hot for another daytime summer event? Then let’s wait until the sun gets lower. 😎
Join us for a relaxed summer evening at Zushi Beach — sitting by the ocean, meeting new people, playing some ridiculously simple games, chatting in English × Japanese, and watching the sunset together.
No complicated plan. No pressure.
Just show up, grab a spot on the beach, meet some new people, and enjoy summer.
Coming alone? Perfect. Most people come to social Meetups to meet someone new anyway.
📍 Meeting Point
To keep things simple and organized, we’ll all meet at the same location and head to Zushi Beach together.
🟡 Meeting Point: Zushi Station
🕔 Meeting Time: 5:00 PM
As the sun sets earlier in September, we’ll start earlier so we can enjoy the beach before sunset. 🌅
From Zushi Station, it’s about a 12-minute walk to the beach.
The exact meeting spot at Zushi Station will be shared later on the event page, so please check the comments/updates before the event.
🏖️ So... What Are We Actually Doing?
We’ll start by gathering everyone on the beach and doing quick introductions.
Then we’ll mix things up with:
🏐 Beach Games (optional)
Bring your own games or balls if you want!
Simple activities like frisbee, soft-ball games, badminton, or anything easy and fun on the sand.
You don’t need to be athletic at all.
We’re definitely not scouting for the 2032 Olympics. 😂
🗣️ English × Japanese Social Time
We’ll switch groups occasionally so you don’t spend the whole evening talking to the same people.
English beginner? Japanese beginner? No problem at all.
This isn’t a language class — just try, make mistakes, laugh, and keep talking.
🏆 The Sunset Games Challenge
This is where things get a little more fun.
We’ll randomly divide everyone into small teams.
Each team gets a Summer Challenge List.
For example:
- 📸 Take the most creative team photo
- ❤️ Find something heart-shaped
- 🗣️ Learn 3 surprising things about your teammates
- 🇯🇵 Teach someone one Japanese phrase
- 🇬🇧 Teach someone one English phrase
- 🌊 Take the coolest ocean photo
- 😂 Recreate a ridiculous movie-poster pose
- 🤝 Talk to someone you’ve never met before
- 🌅 Take your team’s best sunset photo
Then we come back together and share photos, stories, and questionable artistic decisions. 😂
✨ Why Join?
Because sometimes summer doesn’t need a complicated plan.
You just need…
a beach.
a sunset.
something cold to drink.
and people you haven’t met yet.
Come alone. Come shy. Come knowing zero people.
That’s kind of the point.
💴 Participation Fee
¥1000 — Cash Only
The participation fee supports community organization and Meetup operating costs.
Food, drinks, and transportation are not included.
We’ll provide picnic mats, so you don’t need to bring one.

Pretty much anyone who wants a good evening.
English speakers. Japanese speakers. Language learners. International residents. Locals. Travelers. People coming with friends. People coming alone.
All language levels are welcome.

This event depends on the weather.
If there is heavy rain, thunderstorms, dangerous heat, or strong coastal winds, we may postpone the event.
We’ll post the final update on the event page before the event.

海。砂浜。ゲーム。そして新しい出会い。
夏の日中は暑すぎる？
それなら、太陽が少し低くなってからビーチを楽しみましょう。😎
逗子海岸で、のんびり夏の夕方を過ごすビーチ交流イベントです。
海辺で座って話したり、新しい人と出会ったり、簡単なゲームで遊んだり、英語と日本語で交流したり。
そして最後は、みんなでサンセットを楽しみましょう。🌅
難しい予定もありません。
プレッシャーもありません。
ビーチに来て、みんなと合流して、新しい人と話して、夏を楽しむだけ。
一人参加？ むしろ大歓迎です。
新しい人と出会うためにMeetupに来る人もたくさんいます。
📍 集合場所
混乱を避け、よりスムーズに集合できるよう、今回は全員同じ場所に集合して、一緒に逗子海岸へ向かいます。

9月は日没時間が早くなるため、サンセット前のビーチを楽しめるよう、少し早めにスタートします。🌅
逗子駅からビーチまでは、徒歩約12分です。

🏖️ で、実際に何するの？
まずはビーチに集合して、簡単に自己紹介からスタート。
そのあとは、みんなで気軽に楽しみましょう！
🏐 ビーチゲーム（自由参加）
ゲームやボールを持っている方は、ぜひ持ってきてください！
フリスビー、ボール遊び、バドミントンなど、砂浜で気軽にできる遊びを予定しています。
運動が得意じゃなくても全然大丈夫。
2032年のオリンピック選手を探しているわけではありません。😂
🗣️ English × Japanese 交流タイム
ずっと同じ人と話すだけにならないように、途中でグループを変えながら交流します。
英語初心者？ 日本語初心者？ 全然問題ありません。
これは語学教室ではありません。
間違えてもOK。
とりあえず話して、笑って、コミュニケーションを楽しみましょう。

ここからちょっと面白くなります。😎
参加者をランダムに小さなチームに分けます。
各チームにはSummer Challenge Listを渡します。
例えば…
- 📸 一番クリエイティブなチーム写真を撮る
- ❤️ ハート型のものを見つける
- 🗣️ チームメンバーについて意外なことを3つ知る
- 🇯🇵 誰かに日本語を1フレーズ教える
- 🇬🇧 誰かに英語を1フレーズ教える
- 🌊 一番カッコいい海の写真を撮る
- 😂 面白い映画ポスター風の写真を再現する
- 🤝 初めて会った人と話す
- 🌅 チームで最高のサンセット写真を撮る
終わったら、またみんなで集合！
写真や面白かった出来事、そしてちょっと怪しい芸術作品をみんなで見せ合いましょう。😂

夏を楽しむのに、複雑な予定はいりません。
必要なのは…
ビーチ。
サンセット。
冷たい飲み物。
そして、まだ出会ったことのない人たち。
一人で来てもOK。
人見知りでもOK。
知り合いが一人もいなくてもOK。
それがこのイベントの面白いところです。

¥1000 — 現金のみ
参加費はコミュニティ運営やMeetupの運営費に使用します。
飲食代・交通費は含まれていません。
ピクニックマットはこちらで用意しますので、持ってくる必要はありません。
