Debate as if we were in a philosophy dialogue - What Is Love?

Details

Topic: This week, we will explore one of philosophy’s most enduring questions: What is love? From Plato’s Symposium and Socrates' dialectic to the profound wisdom of The Little Prince—“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly”—we will trace love as attraction, taming, and invisible essence. But beware: Sartre’s “Hell is other people” haunts the romantic ideal. Through dialogue and debate, we may begin to answer: what is true love—and how is it possible to love?

Are there topics you've always wanted to explore or debate with others? Join us for a series of engaging discussions where you can share your views, hear new perspectives, and deepen your understanding of the world. As a philosopher traveling the globe to listen to diverse voices, I will guide our conversations in the spirit of Socratic inquiry: "I know that I know nothing." Together, let’s seek truth through thoughtful dialogue and open minds.
This event is held weekly, alongside other philosophical lectures—feel free to explore those as well!
