Debate as if we were in a philosophy dialogue-Can truth exist without agreement?

Details

Topic: Is agreement the endpoint of meaningful conversation, or can enduring disagreement lead us closer to truth? This session explores whether consensus is necessary — or even desirable — in philosophical and political dialogue. Drawing on Heraclitus, Plato, Aristotle, and Kant, we’ll examine the tension between unity and conflict, reason and difference. Can disagreement be a sign of deeper understanding rather than failure — and might truth, in some cases, require that we never fully agree?

Are there topics you've always wanted to explore or debate with others? Join us for a series of engaging discussions where you can share your views, hear new perspectives, and deepen your understanding of the world. As a philosopher traveling the globe to listen to diverse voices, I will guide our conversations in the spirit of Socratic inquiry: "I know that I know nothing." Together, let’s seek truth through thoughtful dialogue and open minds.
This event is held weekly, alongside other philosophical lectures—feel free to explore those as well!
