Talking Grief Circle: The Sorrows of the World
Details
Hey everyone… looking forward to gathering with you on Sunday, March 1st from 9 AM to Noon at The Kineo Center office.
Location:
5320 N. 16th St. # 110
Phoenix, AZ 85016
We’ll be holding space for Gate 3: The Sorrows of the World (via The Wild of Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller), collective grief for what’s happening around us and within us.
I’ll offer some prompts to sit with, but this is not a comprehensive list, and would deeply appreciate you bringing with you anything you would want to share, and have us hold collectively:
∙ Wars, violence, the collapsing government, and ongoing genocide
∙ Dehumanizing political discourse/abusive behaviors of the elite, without accountability
∙ The difficulty of knowing what’s true or real in the age of AI
∙ The effects of AI on the environment, economy, and human connection
∙ Late-capitalism and the systems crushing us
∙ Toxic patriarchal, and abusive religious structures
This isn’t about solutions, agreement, or fixing anything. It’s about holding space for pain and disorientation, because when we can sit with what’s broken, something else becomes possible. Grief makes room for what wants to grow.
I also wanted to share this with you all to give you an out, if you feel like this might be too much for you. Lots of grace here.
Come as you are. Bring whatever’s heavy. We’ll hold it together.
Much love,
Jeff & Amy
