What we’re about
Part I - About Toastmasters Part II - What to expect at each meeting
Part I: Looking to develop speaking and leadership skills? Ace a job interview? Ignite your career?
This year, Raleigh Talkmasters wants to help you achieve your challenge. Whether that challenge is leadership skills, getting a new job or just igniting your career. We hope to help you #AchieveYourChallenge this year!
Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Our membership is 292,000 strong. These members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 14,350 clubs in 122 countries that make up our global network of meeting locations.
A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere. We are all here to practice.
There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success.
We're currently meeting in a hybrid format. Guests are welcome, please email Mark Inge at president-739097@toastmastersclubs.org for a Zoom link.
The club meets in person monthly on a Saturday for coffee. Keep an eye on our events for more information.
To learn more about our club, check out our club website.
Part II - the average meeting has a turnout of 15-20 members. Each meeting runs according to an Agenda that is prepared a month in advance, so don't worry! However, you will be given a brief opportunity during the meeting to introduce yourself to the group. For additional speaking, you will have the chance to volunteer for Table Topics after you observe what it is.

Welcome to Raleigh Talkmasters!
Raleigh Talkmasters is a Toastmasters club, where we focus on developing communication and leadership skills through practice in a supportive environment.
We have a HYBRID Meeting structure:
- In-person: The Cardinal (4030 Cardinal at North Hills Street, Raleigh, NC 27609) in the gathering room. Directions linked here.
- Virtual: If it's better for you, we always have a zoom meeting link open as well. Please contact our VP of Membership at talkmastersvpmembership@gmail.com for the meeting link and any other questions.
We meet each Thursday for 1 hour to help get over fears and become more effective speakers.
Please come join us in the fun (and yes it is fun – because all the members make sure it stays fun).
Make sure to be early as we start promptly at 7:15 am!
Visiting a club is the first step in becoming the person you want to be: clear in your communication, persuasive with your words, and confident in who you are. There’s no pressure to participate at your first meeting – you can just sit and take it all in if you want. As soon as you walk in, someone will greet you and make sure you know the drill.
Feel free to reach out to our VP of Membership at talkmastersvpmembership@gmail.com if you have any questions.
We look forward to meeting you!

*Please note we observe the Wake County School System Closure system in case of any weather (or other) events that may close the school system.
If Wake County Schools are closed (or delayed) we will not meet. - Show up to speak up, speak out, speak wellThe Cardinal at North Hills, Raleigh, NC
