๐ Pickleball at The Pickle Pad! Beginners Welcome!
Details
Who is ready for a fun night of pickleball?
Apparently all the cool people in Tallahassee are playing pickleball these days...so I guess it's our turn! ๐
Join us for an evening of laughs, friendly competition, and meeting new people at The Pickle Pad, conveniently located next to Planet Fitness on North Monroe Street.
Never played before? Neither have I! This will be my first time too, so if you've been wanting to give pickleball a try, this is the perfect opportunity. Whether you're an experienced player or you've never picked up a paddle, everyone is welcome!
The Pickle Pad has something for everyoneโeven if pickleball isn't your thing. They also have ping pong, arcade-style games, great food, refreshing drinks, and plenty of space to relax and socialize.

## ๐ What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States because it's easy to learn, social, and a great workout without being as physically demanding as tennis.
It combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong and can be played as singles or doubles.
Here are a few beginner-friendly rules:
- Games are typically played to 11 points (win by 2).
- Serves are made underhand.
- After the serve, the ball must bounce once on each side before volleys are allowed (the double-bounce rule).
- Players can't volley while standing in the "kitchen," the non-volley zone near the net.
Don't worryโwe'll all figure it out together!
## ๐พ Equipment
Feel free to bring your own paddle if you have one.
Don't have equipment? No problem! The Pickle Pad rents paddles and has everything you'll need to get started. Just wear comfortable athletic shoes and come ready to have fun.
After we're finished playing, if everyone is up for it, we can grab a late dinner or head over to Midtown to continue hanging out.
Looking forward to seeing everyone for what should be a fun night of laughs, new friendships, and (hopefully) some decent pickleball!
See you there, friends!
