We host activities year-round from field trips to formal presentations by nationally recognized scientists. Muscadine grapes are the only variety of grape native to North America. The FAMU Center for Viticulture is the leader in research for the cultivation and breeding. Please come and join us for a tour of the vineyard and research facilities! The Center's mission is to conduct basic and applied research and provide service that will promote the development of a viable viticulture industry in Florida. The Center for Viticulture carries out research in grape genetics and breeding using biotechnology methods; develop resources for growers; and student training. Come see all these programs that operate within the Center for Viticulture! We will gather Friday August 16th at 9:00 AM August 16th 6361 Mahan Dr #6201, Tallahassee, FL 32308. We will start outside and then visit the lab when it gets hot. (Perhaps join us for lunch afterwards!)
