Dr. Kathleen Amm, Director of the MagLab, presents "Magnets Matter"

"The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, affectionately known as the MagLab, is a cornerstone of Tallahassee’s scientific community. Now under the leadership of Dr. Kathleen Amm, a researcher with expertise in large-scale hardware for MRI and power industries, the lab is poised for even greater breakthroughs. With Dr. Amm as director, the MagLab is set to continue making exciting advancements in superconducting magnet technology and expand relationships with industry. In this presentation, she will showcase how the world's most powerful magnets are driving energy innovations, environmental protections, health advancements, and future quantum technologies."
