Autumn Sea Swimming

Details

Autumn is here, and that means it’s the perfect time for anyone looking to start cold plunging and eventually become strong polar bears (if you’re not one already). 🙂 The sea water temperature is currently around 17 °C, and in winter it can drop to 1 °C, so we can gradually prepare our bodies for winter conditions (freezing air, snow, extreme water temperatures).

  • Meeting at 18:00 on Linnahall Beach (Linnahalli Rand).
  • Nearby public transport stops: Linnahall (tram and bus), Suur Rannavärav (tram)
  • It's accessible for bicycles
  • Alternatively, there is a parking lot for cars

Don’t forget a towel and something to hydrate with after swimming (alcohol is not recommended). Swimwear (or spare underwear) is useful too—unless you prefer to swim naked. 😶 Little snacks are always appreciated.

In case you do not want to swim, come anyway! You can just sit by the sea, relax and socialize. Maybe we will have a little walk around the coast, and also, there are pubs and cafes around, so you won't get bored.

See you soon!

  • 🧊 About cold plunges:
Entering cold water activates your body’s natural stress response, improving circulation, boosting immune function, and reducing inflammation through enhanced blood flow and increased leukocyte production. It triggers a powerful release of endorphins and norepinephrine, delivering an immediate mood lift while building long-term mental resilience. Regular practice trains your nervous system to handle stress more effectively, making it a natural reset button for both body and mind.
