Singles, couples and beginners welcome. All dances are taught. Casual dress. $12 recommended donation.

Contra dancing is an upbeat, beginner-friendly social dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing and is danced to live music in long lines. Bands and instructors ("callers") vary each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. Arrive in time for the free Beginner Lesson at 7:30, and by the end of the night, you'll have danced with everyone in the room! There's a short break mid-way through the night for sharing snacks and socializing.

When you arrive, someone will direct you to the parking area. Located about 8 miles east of Capital Circle NE, one mile past the stop sign at Crump Road. Look for DANCE sign. 👀

Note on RSVPs: We have been contra dancing in Tally since 1982 with a wonderful and welcoming crowd. We are new to Meetup and utilizing a free organizer account for now, which caps attendees at 10. Waitlist registrants are welcome to attend and your guests do not need to RSVP—bring anyone who wants to have fun and meet new people!
