Kayak Adventure!

Weather permitting based on winds and storms, Sunday December 14th meet at 61 Causeway Blvd, Dunedin, FL 34698 which is on the Dunedin Causeway at kayak stand called Sail Honeymoon Island. Meet time will be at 10am along the shore between the kayak and restroom building, will do a 30 minute intros/ meet and greet prior to getting kayak gear. And start getting on the water around 10:30am. The rental cost for a two hour single kayak rental is $35 per person. You will pay and fill out waiver in person. They have the best kayak rental gear in the area! You’re also welcome to bring your own gear but please arrive at meeting spot no later than 10:15, between kayaking rental and bathroom building on causeway. We will plan to be on the water around 10:45 am as a group, if you brought your own kayak or rented one. We will be back by 12:45/ 1pm to the Causeway rental spot.

The plan will be to paddle about a half mile one way over to Caladesi Island State Park take a little break, stretch your legs on the sand bar or beach area then paddle back as a group within the two hour time.

Disclaimer: This is not a kayak tour. You must be strong enough to paddle a single kayak without assistance and be comfortable in and around water along with comfortable kayaking your own kayak in the bay. If you’re bringing your own kayak you need to bring a life jacket, and any necessary safety equipment for yourself. If you’re renting a kayak a life jacket and paddle will be provided from rental company along with kayak.

Please bring water, sunscreen, hat, and anything you need to be comfortable on the water for about two hours.
