About us
We are the Tampa Bay Chapter of the worldwide Bogleheads® Community. Although new on Meetup, our local chapter has been active for over 10 years, with more than 50 members.
This Meetup site is intended to publicize our meetings for prospective new members. We currently meet every other month. Our MAIN website is actually the PRIVATE email group here... https://groups.io/g/tampabaybogleheads which has more resources, and where you can also RSVP.
Our group is non-commercial, and dedicated solely to educating and supporting those pursuing a low-cost (primarily Index Fund) investing philosophy, as inspired by John Bogle (Vanguard's founder). We do NOT believe in market-timing, individual stock-picking, nor speculative investments. If that's your focus, we're (respectfully) not the group for you.
We invite members at all investing "life stages" who embrace "low cost, buy and hold" investing, to share their knowledge, and mentor others, on the path to financial security. We especially welcome new members just starting out on their investing and/or retirement journey.
