CFI Insider: Secular Guide to Surviving the Holidays

Details
The most wonderful time of the year? For many secular individuals “the holidays” can be an incredibly stressful time fraught with religiously saturated expectations and potential conflicts with family members.
Jennifer Beahan, Executive Director of CFI Michigan, and Julia Henshaw, LMSW, LCSW, a therapist specializing in secular support and recovery from religion, will discuss practical ways secular individuals can authentically and sanely navigate the holiday season, and examine the difficulties in setting boundaries with families due to religious indoctrination/beliefs.
There will also be an open discussion period where attendees can share their personal holiday survival strategies, and ways they celebrate (or not) the holidays of their choosing. The event will be moderated by Melissa Myers, CFI Field Organizer.
Time: Nov 24, 2020 07:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
