About us
Finance is one of the few key technologies that almost everybody has the chance to take advantage of, but almost nobody knows how. This group was built to combat that reality.
We meet once a month at the Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library for a free financial workshop on a financial topic- investing, budgeting, taxes, credit, retirement accounts, and more. Each session is a targeted lesson, followed by an open Q&A. Bring your questions, and the Q&A will become the most useful part.
Our workshop are entirely free, and open to the entire public. Our presentations are crafted so that anyone can take advantage of them, whether you are a student who is earning his first paycheck, or a retiree who wants to better understand how the stock market preserves their accumulated funds. With that in mind, our workshops are built so that no background is required, even between sessions. Guests are invited to come to all, or even just one, of our sessions. But once again, we feel that all are beneficial to people of all ages.
What we don't do: sell anything. No products, no sign ups, no advisory services. Sessions are entirely educational and entirely free. They are not personalized financial advice.
Once again, our sessions are entirely free and entirely open to the public. They are held monthly and are led by three Jesuit High School Seniors who study markets and investing, but have yet to come across any local and free personal finance presentations. We hope to see you attend, and look forward to serving you.
