Beginning Cabochon Class (2 Day class)

This is a 16-hour class (2 consecutive weekend days, on how to cut cabochons from slabs of rocks.
10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. August 23-24, Saturday and Sunday
Instructor Jojo Torres
You will learn:
- Shop safety
- Operation of a cabbing machine and trim saw
- Shaping and polishing techniques
- Theories of cutting slabs of rock.
All materials are included. Students will need an Opti-Visor (Headband magnifier, a waterproof apron, a towel, and closed-toed shoes. No loose clothing. Long hair must be tied back.
The cost of the class is $230, which includes materials, instructor fees, and shop time. A deposit of $130 is required to save a spot, and the balance of $100 should be paid to the instructor the day of the class.
You must wear closed-toed shoes. No loose clothing and long hair must be tied back. Bring a waterproof apron, an Optivisor or Headband Magnifier, a large towel, and lunch.
