Table Crafts: Open Studio with a Twist

Details
Looking for a relaxing and creative space to work on your jewelry and craft projects? Table Crafts might be the perfect place for you!
Table Crafts meet each Wednesday from 1-4 p.m.
These open shop sessions offer a casual, collaborative environment where you can bring your own project — or just your curiosity — and enjoy a few hours of hands-on crafting with help and inspiration from fellow members.
What Can You Work On?
Our members explore a wide range of jewelry and fiber techniques, including:
- Beading: stringing, peyote stitch (even/odd count, tubular, twisted), brick stitch, herringbone, Cellini spiral, netting, loom work, and more
- Kumihimo: the ancient Japanese braiding technique
- Viking Knit: wire weaving for bracelets and chains
- Chaining: simple and advanced wire chain-making techniques
Never tried these before? Come to a session, watch others work, ask questions, or look up tutorials on YouTube. It’s a great way to get inspired.
How it Works
These sessions are member-led and collaborative, not formal classes. A typical session might include someone asking:
“I saw this project on Pinterest — can someone show me how it’s done?”
That’s often how new group projects or informal workshops get started!
